We slept fairly well, but a queen bed just isn’t a
KING.
We had toasted bagels for breakfast and headed back to the
Wisconsin Dells area. We should have
just camped over there……. We went to the
Rocky Arbor State Park just north of Wisconsin Dells. We started our hike but doubled back because
the mosquitoes were so bad. We hiked the
roads and toured the campgrounds. It
would be nice place to stay sometime. The
sites are all wooded and mostly private.
A lot of the sites had electricity but none of them had water. The shower facility was very nice.

It was very ‘hilly’ so we got a workout. We doused ourselves with mosquito repellant
and took the hiking trails back to the car.
We ended up hiking 4.3 miles.
We checked out the visitors information center in Wisconsin Dells
but didn’t learn anything new. We did do
the ‘River Walk’ and walked on Main Street for some sight seeing. It was another 1.75 miles.
We decided we needed some ‘reclining’ lawn chairs so we went
shopping at Home Depot and Wal-Mart but didn’t find anything (except a cold 6
Pack).
We drove back to the camp ground and shared a hot shower (25
cents for 3 minutes, but together we got it done for 50 cents!)
We walked all around the campground. It’s very large but more or less quiet during
the week. We are parked in the VIP #1 camp site!

Steaks and wine for dinner.
Don’t have any plans for tomorrow yet, other than we’re
leaving here and heading back towards home…….
